OUR OFFERING

The Zambia Lusaka Fresh Market is the result of SAVENDA’s truly innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. For the first time, Zambian small-scale fresh produce farmers will have access to a trading environment with real price discovery and transparent and fair trading rules. With an uncompromising focus on quality standards and food safety protocols, the Zambia Fresh Lusaka Market will provide the best quality fresh fruit and vegetables in a safe and hygienic environment for its customers.

OUR COMMITMENT

Get involved in bridging logistics gap: separate division to come online. Will be called Zambia Fresh Market: huge operations of cold storage and processing where we will buy up all produce by local farmers. We buy from local farmers, transport to our Lusaka facility (will build in economic zone) and then expand to roughly to 10,000 sq m’ of storage where we can do packaging for local market.

WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY

The Zambia Lusaka Fresh Market offers local farmers a central market infrastructure to bring their crops to market and offer consumers products that are traceable and meet international quality standards. “A venture such as our fresh market is transformative for communities and the local economy. With such a marketplace, we are taking women out of roadsides and eradicating wasted merchandise by bringing farmers, sellers and consumers in a single central point,’ explained Clever Mpoha who understands farmers’ challenges very well, having grown up in a village.
